So, I was doing some studying, and came across these Bible verses that really struck home with me, and I'd like to share these words of wisdom with you from the Book of Psalms.
Psalm 20: 4-5
May he give you the desire of you heart
and make all your plans succeed.
We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.
I know that there are some bloggers I follow who have not quite seen their dreams of having a small farm and self-sufficient living come to fruition. But hang in there. Your dreams will come true. May the Lord grant all your requests.

you have to follow your heart! Having faith in oneself is the toughest battle to conquer. Once you have gained that inner strength, you can tackle just about anything. And in all honesty, having all my animals has truly helped me find that strength. Believe and you shall achieve:)
Thanks for the lovely words, Kathy. I am one of those who is just "hanging in there," for sure! I couldn't imagine giving up on my dreams of living in the country though, even though the prospects don't look bright right now to be honest. So we just keep on truckin'...:)
Thanks Kristi for your words of encouragement. I liked the photos on your blog today of the Mt Vernon farm and animals. It must be so peaceful early in the morning when you take your walks.
Laura Jeanne - hang in there, keep that dream alive even if it seems dim right now. You'll get there when things are right; and God will lead you and let you know when everything is in order for you and your family to have your farm. Keep doin' what you're doin' with living a self-sufficient lifestyle. You're way ahead of some folks who move to the country with no way of knowing how to be self-sufficient.

Thanks Sandra - King David is one of my heroes since he was, indeed, a man after God's own heart. I am struggling a lot with submission lately, and all that I am reading and hearing lately has to do with that subject - so there is a lot of good reinforcement.

I was looking through some of your other blog posts and found several refernces to Ohio. Are you originally from there? I was born in Allen Co. Ohio, in Lima. I lived in Elida until I was 12. We then moved outside of Toledo, to Perrysburg!
