I am a country girl stuck in the city, for the time-being. I enjoy the country way of life, and practice that in my home as best I can by canning and preserving foods, cooking and baking from scratch, crocheting, living vicariously thru the many blogs I follow about country life. I enjoy learning about raising livestock, and glean from my past employment and personal experiences of working with animals to fuel some of my postings. I have 5 cats, who keep my life interesting. And I am also an amateur poet. Thanks for stopping by and checking out this Farmer-gal who is caught in town, for now.

Visiting with Suzanne this morning

I've been over visiting Suzanne McMinn at Chickens in the Road blog - I found a video over there that is on her YouTube account, and it is one of my favorites of hers, and I wanted to share it with ya'll.

A Sheep's Best Friend - is a video of Suzanne's sheep named Annabelle, who thinks she's a dog, playing chase with one of Suzanne's dogs - Boomerang - it's a hilarious video that gets me laughing everytime, especially seeing the way that Annabelle runs - or should I say, hops.

I hope you take the time to look at the video and get a little chuckle from it. And I hope you will visit Suzanne's blog - she is a blogger-extraordinaire, and is a true self-sufficient homesteader. She's an inspiration to me.

Take care All, and have a blessed Sunday - from KY.

What a hilarious video! That sheep and dog appear to be the best of friends. I wonder if they play like that all the time.

That's just so funny...the way that sheep just kind of hopped around! Thanks for the link and laugh.

i want whatever annabelle is having....talk about pep in your step! her little feet just bounce off the ground! that is so sweet! and i'm jealous of annabelle in the fact that she can lose 50% of her body mass just by getting a haircut....my dream!

Ya'll - I think that Annabelle was a bottle lamb, and Suzanne kept her on the porch for the longest time, and then finally put her in with the rest of the sheep. I think that's why she gets along with Boomer so well, cuz she's used to dogs.

Carol - I'm glad you liked the video, and that it made you laugh. It's my all-time favorite of Suzanne's videos.

Kate - yes, Annabelle looked really fat in this video, but I think it's all wool.

Laura - thanks, as always, for stopping by. I'm glad you liked the video, too, and that it made you laugh - that was my intent, to share a giggle with everyone.

Oh, Carol - I like you're blog. I like a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind - I'm not like that and wish I was. I'm way too timid and a people-pleaser! 8-p

Take care everyone, from KY.

Suzanne does have a really good blog. I remember seeing Annabelle on her blog when she first got her.
