God's Promise
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."
The Promise of the Lord to the Israelites during the Babylonian exile.
As minor as the setback of not being able to move yesterday was in the big scheme of things, I found comfort in these verses which are among my favorites in the Bible. May you, too, find comfort in the fact that God has plans for your life, to give you hope and a future. Be well, everyone, on this Sunday Sabbath. God bless you All.
Best wishes from central KY.

Kathy,I was reading something here lately that sounded so reasonable. It went something like this. When you ask the Lord to help you with a problem, and He doesn't get to it as quickly as you'd like, that is a sign He wants you to spend more time getting to know Him better, while you wait for Him to help out. That made real sense to me.Hope that helps you in your wait.
Beautiful double rainbow.
beautiful post. Have a very blessed day.
Beautiful post!
Never fails you're all ready to "rock and roll" and then suddenly a "hitch" to your plan. Well, that's one way to get your laundry done! Hope the move goes smoothly, I'll keep you in my prayer's.
Praying for a smooth start to your move this week.
Hi All - thanks for your prayers and well-wishes for the move on Tues. I spent a good part of this morning on the phone with U-Haul trying to see about a refund of some of my $$ for the trailer rental, and finally was given the contact info for the regional mgr of this area and will call him tomorrow morning. I am not in very good physical shape, so my knees and legs were sore from being on them, packing, and lifting and moving boxes, etc, so today I took it easy and rested up some. Tomorrow will be spent working with U-Haul, and also doing all of my laundry here at the complex. I've reserved a truck this time since I don't think the trailer I had before was big enough for everything, and I'll make a round trip, coming back to return the truck on Wed morning.
I was thinking about what sawn said, and realized that today's Bible verse is so appropriate - I waited patiently on the Lord, and He heard my cry . . . It'll all work out in the end, and as they say good things come to those who wait. Good night All, and I hope you had a great and blessed Lord's Day.
